Natural History Museum Swarovski Ice Rink
28 October 2015
It’s that wonderful time of year again and the Natural History Museum Swarovski Ice Rink is opening this Thursday, 29th October 2015. So get your skates on and come down to the enchanting surroundings of the Alfred Waterhouse’s buildings decorated with 80,000 Christmas lights and a 40 foot high Christmas tree to skate around. It’s is a 1000 square metre ice-rink with separate mini children’s rink to the side for a more easy going time for the little ones.
The Main Bar & Cafe is a chalet like space, evoking a true Après-ski experience. Even the menu feels like you have just walked off the slopes with everything from Wiener schnitzel and fries to a traditional Austrian pancake dessert, Kaiserschmarrn or a Canadian style doughnut with toppings called a Beavertail.
There are boutique beers and seasonal drinks available at the bar, why not indulge with a hot chocolate with cinnamon schnapps and Jack Daniel’s. Have a look at our scrumptiously festive menu here.
Remember off peak skaters can enjoy coffee for a quid – just show your ticket when you order.
Enjoy a mulled wine and apple strudel for £8.50 or a kid’s hot chocolate and ginger bread £5 when you buy online here.
