The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle
24 July 2015
The 66th Royal Edinburgh Tattoo is taking place in the spectacular grounds of Edinburgh Castle with talents of four continents coming together to celebrate ‘East meets West’. The parade will include the Bands of the RAF, international pipers, drummers, singers and dancers, a renowned Lone Piper and the one of the world’s leading percussion groups: Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps.
Edinburgh Castle has a number of private dining packages available that allow you to get the real backstage, VIP treatment on the day. The best aspect about dining in Edinburgh Castle is the opportunity to see a whole array of bands and performers who use the Castle as an area to prepare before the show. Guests are invited to take a wander around the grounds after dining to watch the pipe bands tuning this famous instrument, enjoy the stunning views of Edinburgh and take photos of behind the scene action. This year guests will also enjoy an introduction from the Historic Scotland guides, who will give a brief history of the Castle and this military tradition.
There are a number of different packages available depending on the size of your group and where you would like to dine- The Royal Gallery, Queen Anne or Gatehouse. All dining packages include a VIP or Premier seat. Please see below for more details.
