Parkside Café is a bright and airy space at the National Maritime Museum with expansive views of Greenwich Park. The café has been refreshed, and we’re delighted to be serving a new menu featuring comforting hot dishes, fresh seasonal salads, a variety of vegan and vegetarian options and a dedicated kids’ menu for families visiting the museum.

There’s also a selection of grab‑and‑go sandwiches, pastries, sweet treats and hot drinks, perfect for enjoying on the move.

To keep your visit smooth, the café now runs with a simple counter‑service setup, making it quick and easy to order before continuing your day.

Upstairs, you’ll find the Shake Bar, serving indulgent shakes, ice creams and hot or iced drinks – a fun treat for all ages during your museum visit.

Parkside Café: 9:30am – 5pm

Shake Bar: 11am – 5pm

Situated on the first floor of the National Maritime Museum, this open-plan café sits alongside the Ocean Map.

Enjoy our barista-made coffee or wide selection of hot and iced drinks while the little ones explore the continents.

Enjoy delicious food options, such as freshly made sandwiches, toasted Romana flatbreads and a range of cakes. Children’s boxes and traditional Cream Tea are also available.

Find us beneath the iconic hull of the world-famous tea clipper, Cutty Sark. Enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, freshly made sandwiches, crisp salads, indulgent cream teas, and tempting cakes. For something extra special, why not book an afternoon tea experience?

Located in the Astronomy Centre at the Royal Observatory, the Astronomy Café & Terrace is a relaxed spot in which to enjoy a light lunch before or after your visit to the Peter Harrison Planetarium. The café’s outdoor terrace is a cool spot on hot days.
