Astronomy Café & Terrace

Opening times: 10am–4.30pm, daily

Situated at the top of the hill in stunning Greenwich Park, The Astronomy Café & Terrace at the Royal Observatory and is open to all, not just museum visitors.

Savour warmer weather out back on the terrace or enjoy the ambience of the café with no admission fee required. Serving hot and cold drinks, hearty soups and fresh seasonal salads, the Astronomy Café is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed lunch before strolling through Greenwich Park. 


Parkside Café & Terrace

Opening times: 10am – 5pm, daily | Last admission 4.30pm

Parkside Café & Terrace is located in the Sammy Ofer Wing of the National Maritime Museum – split across two levels; you’ll find the Café on the ground floor and Terrace upstairs on the first floor.

Parkside Café is a bright buffet-style destination for a quick bite or lunch with the family. Relax inside with a cup of our award-winning coffee and a freshly-made cake outside under an umbrella for shade. Spark little ones’ imaginations with our beautifully designed children’s lunchboxes, and enjoy Cream Tea for only £5 every day.

Head to the upstairs dining area enclosed with floor to ceiling windows and enjoy coffee and pastries or contemporary British meal with cocktails and wine. Get into the summer spirit during warmer months with our barbecue menu and a Pimm’s on the terrace. 

Parkside Café & Terrace are open to everyone – you do not need to be a museum visitor to visit us.


The Great Map Café 

Opening times: 10am–4.30pm, daily

The Great Map Café at the National Maritime Museum is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a hot drink, classic British sandwiches and variety of cakes made fresh daily.

Located on the first floor of the Museum, this open plan café borders The Great Map, our giant world atlas. Here you’ll find ample space to park the buggy and let the little ones explore the continents while you enjoy a cup of our award-winning Benugo blend coffee. Order a beautifully designed children’s lunchbox or Cream Tea both, for only £5.


Cutty Sark Café

Opening times: 10am–4.30pm, daily

The Cutty Sark Café is located directly beneath the gleaming copper hull of Cutty Sark, the world’s last surviving tea clipper.   

We serve deli combination sandwiches with classic British ingredients, cakes made fresh for you daily, assorted snacks and children’s dishes including healthy options that your family will love. Enjoy Cream Tea for £5 every day or relax with our award-winning coffee made how you like it.

Make your visit even more memorable by taking Afternoon Tea for £12.50. Add a glass of prosecco for £17.50.
