Us Brits don’t need scorching temperatures to enjoy a drink outside, so while the Sun plays hard-to-get and will-it-won’t-it, here are some of our outdoor terraces to enjoy whatever the temperature.
At BFI Southbank, you have two terraces to choose from. You can enjoy anything from our full bar, a morning coffee, lunch, dinner … the lot! Great with a group of friends or for a table for one. Overlooking the Thames, it’s one of the best spots in London.
A long walk followed by lunch on the terrace makes for a perfect summer’s day. If this is your cup of (iced) tea, The Magazine Restaurant in Kensington Gardens and Savill Garden Kitchen in Windsor Great Park are surrounded by lovely green open spaces and gardens.
The Barbican Kitchen at the Barbican Centre has tropical vibes outside and interesting architecture. It’s a great spot for pre or post performance refreshments – or a destination spot for alfresco lunch.
All of these great places have indoor options too, in case the sun shows up a little too much.
