The Ashmolean’s Rooftop Restaurant sits at the top of the world’s oldest museum. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows open out onto a large terrace – perfect for alfresco drinks and dining when the weather allows – affording terrific views of the picturesque spires of Oxford. This December, indulge in the magic of the season with our 2024 Christmas menu, featuring seasonal flavours crafted for the holidays. Where possible we use locally sourced produce and there are always choices available for different dietary needs.
Open daily, join us for lunch from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm and Afternoon Tea from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm (subject to availability).
After you have enjoyed your delicious meal, take a walk around the Museum. Soak in the rich tapestry of art and world-famous collections of Egyptian mummies and contemporary art, telling historic stories across cultures.
